This Privacy Policy explains how Jet Check ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information in connection with the JetCheck app and related services (the "Service"). It applies whether you use the Service as an installed app, a progressive web app, or via our website.
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where applicable, we also handle personal information consistently with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We collect your email address only if you choose to give it to us, by registering on our website to try the web app, or by opting in to updates. Providing it is optional and is your decision. We do not otherwise collect: name, phone number, postal address, date of birth, government identifier, precise location, photos, contacts, microphone or camera input, or social-network identity.

Subscriptions, push notifications, and crash diagnostics are not active in the current version; the rows above describe what we would receive if and when those features are switched on. If any of this changes we will update this Policy and the App Store / Play Store privacy disclosures accordingly.

The Service sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no third-party tracking technologies. The website stores a single functional item in your browser's local storage: a record that you have already registered, so we don't ask for your email again. It holds only your email address for that purpose and is never used to track you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Vercel, Upstash, and Resend are based in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your server access logs and, if you register, your email address may transit US-based infrastructure. We rely on standard contractual clauses and the providers' published data-protection commitments as the legal basis for any such transfer.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at info@jetcheck.com.au and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction. However, no system is perfectly secure; you accept that residual risk by using the Service.
We retain personal information only for as long as required to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods are listed in clause 3.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the Service or on our website and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or notified via push notification (if you have opted in).
